Myanmar government will implement 89 electricity projects as part of its plan to develop the country’s power sector. To date, 67 projects have been awarded ; 58 projects to local firms and 9 projects to foreign companies, according to the ministry of electric power.
Myanmar government is currently seeking an investment in the remaining 22 projects and has invited both local and foreign firms to invest in these projects.
Out of 89 projects, 64 projects will both generate and distribute power. 4 projects will be dedicated only for power generation while 25 for distribution.
